Resumo

The chaos of traffic in large urban centers and the constant concern about the depletion of fossil fuels have forced us to look for new means of transportation. Research into electric transportation is becoming more intense, but not the Tesla electric car, which, in addition to being a high-cost technology, would not solve the traffic problem. Instead, it is a form of individual transportation that is easy to move and store. The first version of the electric scooter was launched in the United States in the 2000s, and its production was soon transferred to Asia. However, the turning point in the market occurred with the start of large-scale sharing models in 2016 and 2017, selling an image of a sustainable means of transportation. But to what extent is this true? To answer this question, the entire life cycle of the product was studied, analyzing the positive and negative aspects to verify the real environmental impact.
