Abstract
Stellifer rastrifer occurs along the brazilian coast and is commonly caught by the shrimp trawl as by catch. Therefore, the aim of this study was to estimate the length-weight relationship of S. rastrifer caught by the shrimp trawl off Barra do Una - Peruíbe, São Paulo, Brazil, inserted at Área de Proteção Ambiental Marinha Litoral Sul – APAMLS. The sampling occurred on January of 2018 through a simple shrimp trawl off the coast of Peruibe, at APAMLS. Through the logarithmization of weight and length values, the ength-weight relationship was valuated. A total of 33 individuals were caught with average CT of 8,16 cm and average PT of 7,10 g. The species showed positive allometric growth, corroborating what was observed for most Brazilian states with available data. It is also emphazised that 81,8% of the individuals has not reach the length at first sexual maturation and the type of alometric growth corroborated with others showed at other Brazilian states.
