Abstract
The transportation of granular solids is an important operation in several industries, from chemicals and food to mining. Among the materials that can be transported in this way is soybeans, which is transported over long distances, mainly by road modal, for lack of a more economical and ecological substitute. The objective of this work was to analyze the pressure profiles in the pneumatic transport system of soybean in diluted phase. To carry out the studies, an experimental unit with capacity to transport around 350 kg/h of soybean was used. The pressure profiles were obtained for fifteen different transport speeds and through these the influences of each pipe component was observed. It was concluded that these data could help future soybean transport projects.
