Abstract
In today's competitive financial environment it has become imperative that companies be prepared to take greater risks in their decision-making, decisions that if taken without previous analysis and specific knowledge can directly affect the company as a whole. It is in this context that the Controllership comes up together with its internal and external control tools that with the Controller’s support can help to identify, monitor and treat risks, besides providing reliable and effective information capable of supporting the choice of the best way to be followed by the company ensuring the quality and effectiveness of this decision. Based on this understanding this work aims to integrate the Controllership to Risk Management, using it as a good tool to support decision making as well as being able to provide necessary information that can contribute a lot in the value generation to the company.
