Abstract
The present study addresses the theme of sustainability in the port sector, as it is an issue that has been drawing attention from the business world in this area. The study aims to identify how sustainability practices are developing in three Brazilian ports. To do so, an exploratory methodology was employed, utilizing the bibliographic research method to review the literature on port sustainability. The results indicate that due to the significant increase in activities in Brazilian ports, environmental challenges arise that require the immediate implementation of sustainable measures. Thus, it is concluded that there is a pressing need to investigate which sustainable practices are effectively being applied in Brazilian ports today, even including those with lower operational capacity.
