Abstract

The present study aims, in general, to present a practical manual, in the form of a class proposal for teachers of technical and higher education courses in the areas of Foreign Trade, Logistics and their aspects, in addition to serving as a study and refresher base for working professionals. as Damage Commissioners. The article presents a teaching plan for aspiring or individuals already working as surveyors who will be able to access this proposal in a step-by-step format that was planned and organized to comprehensively raise awareness among professionals who work as cargo surveyors, however, neither are always aware of the environmental risks involved in each inspection. Through this study, students will be able to familiarize themselves with the steps necessary to work as damage commissioners, in addition to being led to an understanding of the need to link the provision of services to sustainability, especially during cargo inspections and monitoring of accidents that directly result in environmental impacts in port areas, given that a simple damage to a certain dangerous cargo can become a serious environmental problem for the ecosystems of these locations.
