Abstract
The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the methods and tools to carry out practical field work for administration students, aiming at correct data collection, using applicable techniques to improve learning and optimize teaching. The disordered occupation of natural areas generally results in the imbalance and degradation of the environment, its fauna and flora, bringing negative consequences for all organisms that share their survival in that space. In order to create a correct management plan, the student must first seek reliable information that will serve as a basis for acting on whatever is necessary in relation to the environment, whether planning an orderly and non-invasive occupation that will certainly be less destructive or creating action plans for the recovery of areas already affected. This group of necessary information must be collected through fieldwork, where techniques such as questionnaires, interviews, direct observation, institutional records or focus groups can be used, and will lead the student to have subsidies for the execution of future plans for the areas studied.
