Abstract

Established in 2000, the Herbarium of the State University of Goiás (HUEG) has as one of its objectives constitute a representative collection of flora and fungi from Goiás Cerrado biome. The HUEG currently has about 13,500 records, with a predominance of Phanerogams, Bryophytes, Macroscopic Fungi and Myxomycetes with representative collections of various Goias State protected areas. It houses the largest collection of Macromycetes and Myxomycetes of the Midwest region of Brazil. About 63% of the collection is computerized. Among the herbarium aims set out its physical and collection expansion, computerization of the entire collection and making them available online, including images.
