MUNICIPAL HERBARY OF SÃO PAULO, SÃO PAULO (PMSP) Ricardo José Francischetti Garcia

Abstract

 The Herbário Municipal de São Paulo (PMSP), its collection area and type specimens, as well as its projects and contributions are presented here. The PMSP herbarium currently has nearly 15,000 records of vascular plants. The collection it is been digitalized to on-line access. There are 10 type specimens among them: two isotypes, two isosyntipes, five paratypes and one neotype. The PMSP herbarium operates in environmental programs of conservation like as education, gardening, park planning, fauna conservation and plant production.
