Abstract

The Herbarium "Irina Delanova De Gemtchujnicov" - BOTU is considered the sixth largest in the São Paulo state, having a relatively extensive collection, with nearly 40,000 specimens representing mainly the local flora. It has one of the richest Erythroxylaceae family collections in the country, a national and international reference collection, and also has a collection of Flora of Humaitá/AM. Besides the main collection, the Herbarium BOTU has a collection of fruits and seeds with samples predominantly of the local Cerrado (Herbarium fruit collection BOTU). Over 30,000 specimens are available online, and it is expected that the entire collection is computerized in less than a year.
