Abstract

 The Herbarium collection of SENAI Institute of Technology in Environment contains important taxonomic collection to the state of Minas Gerais. Since the late 80 is repository of botanical species collected in several research projects. Currently, the herbarium has about 17,000 herbarium specimens, of which the families Fabaceae, Asteraceae, Melastomataceae, Cyperaceae and Poaceae are most representative in floristic surveys, especially on the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest biomes.
