Abstract

The Anders Fredrik Regnell Herbarium (AFR) is located within the Scientific and Technical Department of the Poços de Caldas Botanical Garden Foundation in the municipality of Poços de Caldas, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The herbarium was founded in 2013 to function as the deposit of material that mainly comes from the southern region of the State of Minas Gerais, and to contribute to the knowledge of the regional flora. Currently, there are about 3,500 specimens in the collection, including 200 specimens of fungi. New projects are being set up to enlarge the herbarium’s structure, as well as enriching the collection.
