Abstract
The Herbarium Joinvillea (JOI) was created in 2003 and has currently about 16,000 specimens distributed in 3,905 species. About of 12,203 records are available online, with approximately 18% of the collection georeferenced. It is in the image scanning phase and ongoing computerization of the acquis. There are four specimens typus: one holotype and three isotypes. The JOI donated 1,735 duplicates of Herbarium for identification or the expansion of other herbaria. It’s collection area covers especially the northeast of Santa Catarina, in the Atlantic Forest domain. Of its collection are included in the collections held in the islands of the Bay of Babitonga and in riparian forests of the watershed of the municipality of Joinville/SC.
