HERBARIUM ANCHIETA, RIO GRANDE DO SUL (PACA) Maria Salete Marchioretto

Abstract

The Herbarium Anchieta (PACA), one of the largest of Rio Grande do Sul, currently has a collection of approximately 140,000 samples, including angiosperms, gymnosperms, ferns, bryophytes and Fungi. The vast majority species are native to Rio Grande do Sul and others from various  Brazil regions. The whole collection is already computerized and data available online. The PACA also has a collection of about 925 nomenclatural types with all of them with  images online. It has ample space for the collections and services to students, professors and visiting researchers. Maintains exchanges with national and international herbaria and edits the annual Journal, Pesquisas, Botânica.
