HERBARY DR. RONALDO WASUM FROM UNIVERSIDADE ESTADUAL DO RIO GRANDE DO SUL - LITORAL NORTE, RIO GRANDE DO SUL (HERW) Juçara Bordin

Abstract

The Herbarium Dr. Ronaldo Wasum of Universidade Estadual do Rio Grande do Sul – Litoral Norte Herbarium (HERW), was established on September 15, 2015 and has 650 exsiccates. The most part of collection consists of bryophytes collected in Antarctica and in Brazil, in Imbé and Osório cities, located on north coast of Rio Grande do Sul state. It is the first herbarium in this region and, beyond bryophytes, it is intended in the future, maintains collections of other botanical groups, as well as algae and fungi.
