Abstract

 The Herbarium of the Centro Universitário Filadélfia, was founded in 2003. The herbarium has 2,800 especimens most of them from Forest fragments, from areas of North of Paraná State. Projects developed by students have shown a recent expansion in the records. The Herbarium houses also a significant number of vouchers of pharmacological and nutritional studies. The aim of collection has educational purpose, for undergraduate and graduate students, being a source of consultation to educational programs and a place to train people in the management of biological collections.
