UNICENTRO HERBARY, PARANÁ (HUCO) Eneida Martins Miskalo

Abstract

The Herbarium of UNICENTRO/PR (HUCO) began its operations in 2002 and it currently has 5,856 records of vascular plants, being the vast majority (99.7%) of angiosperms and gymnosperms, and only 0.3% of seedless vascular plants. From this total amount, 4,554 are already available online. The Herbarium serves professors and researchers who develop teaching, researching and extension projects in undergraduate and graduate programs. The Herbarium maintains a HUCO interns training program in Herbarium techniques, including basic functionality in Brahms, enabling future professionals to work in the field of biological collections.
