HERBARY OF THE FEDERAL TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY OF PARANÁ, PARANÁ (DVPR) Daniela Aparecida Estevan, Fernanda Ferrari

Abstract

The collection, type specimens, projects as well as contributions of Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, Dois Vizinhos Herbarium (DVPR) to the flora of the Subtropical Atlantic Forest are presented here. The DVPR herbarium currently has approximately 4.000 records of vascular plants. Most of collection is computerized and the data are available online. Tree type specimens are present among them: one isotype and two paratypes. The herbarium is expanding its collections and will soon be registered in Index Herbariorum. The proposal of DVPR herbarium is to provide a reference collection for southwest Paraná taxa, including botanical vascular plants, and bryophytes, algae, cyanobacteria and fungi.
