Abstract

The Maria Victoria Duarte Ferrari Tomé Herbarium of Biology and Technology Center was founded in 1994 and reactivated in 2008 on the Luiz Meneghel Campus of North Parana State University. The Herbarium has a collection of 1,110 specimens, amounting about four thousand records in voucher specimens, mostly angiosperms. The samples are mostly from Mata Sao Francisco State Park, one of the largest forest fragment of Seasonal Forest of the region being the families Asteraceae (89 records), Melastomataceae (58 records), Myrtaceae (52 records) and Solanaceae (51 records) with greater representation.
