Abstract

The Herbarium HUCPE from the Universidade Católica de Pernambuco has represents the flora of Northeast Brazil, with emphasis on tree and shrub species of biomes Caatinga and Atlantic Forest. The HUCPE has 1,474 herbarium specimens available online on speciesLink network for consultation. Also, there are available a collection of woods with over 5,000 samples from all over the Northeast of Brazil. The collection is computerized and is open to materials visitation and consultation.
