Abstract

 The Herbarium Sergio Tavares (HST) is linked to the Department of Forest Science at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE). Its collection includes approximately 21,500 specimens, including the flora of Fernando de Noronha Archipelago. The main families are represented Fabaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Apocynaceae, Rubiaceae and Bignoniaceae. It has a holotype (Myrciaria alagoana Sobral) and 40 isotypes. All HST collection is digitized and computerized with 854 images.
