Abstract

The herbarium MAC has 60.321 records of vascular plants, bryophytes and seaweed and thus holds the most representative collection of flora from occurring vegetation formations in Alagoas, including federal, state and municipal protected areas, as well as other smaller fragments, but with relevant potential floristic. About 50% of its collection is available online and is intended to briefly photograph the images for later scanning. Eight typus specimens, some photographs of plants collected in Alagoas, and didactic carpoteca about 250 fruits and seeds also make up the collection. This paper presents the history, achievements and routine this botanical collection.
