HERBARY DR. FELISBERTO CAMARGO, PARÁ (FC) Manoel Euclides do Nascimento

Abstract

The herbarium Felisberto Camargo (FC), its collection area and its goals in relation to Brazilian Amazon biodiversity are presented here. The FC herbarium currently has about 3,000 records of vascular plants organized according to the perspective of thematic collections, involving wood, fruit and invasive species. Half of this material it is photographed and it will be finished in order to make available the information at herbarium site. The herbarium collection is originating from botanic collects realized at Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia and Parque Estadual do Utinga, both in Belém, Pará. It is a herbarium in full restore phase and under intense field activity in order to enrich the collection.
