HERBARY OF THE MERIDIONAL AMAZONIA, MATO GROSSO (HERBAM) Célia Regina Araújo Soares Lopes

Abstract

The “Herbário da Amazônia Meridional”, collection area, typus samples, as well as their projects and contributions to the flora of Southern Amazon are presented here. The HERBAM currently has about 13.000 records of vascular plants and it is the only herbarium located in Amazonian Mato Grosso. There are record material of all Teles Pires River hydroelectric power. There are eigth types specimens among them: two holotypes, four isotypes and two paratypes.
