Abstract
The Herbarium CEN was created in 1977 and is registered in the Index Herbarium under the acronym CEN. It is registered in the International Association of Plant Taxonomy “IAPT" and, is accredited by the Conselho de Gestão do Patrimônio Genético (CGEN/MMA). Its collections are available online including type-material images. The Herbarium CEN collection includes mainly collections of the Cerrado Biome and increasing collections of plants from Caatinga and Amazon, as well cultivated economic plants and their Brazilian wild relatives. The collection today has about 91,000 specimens, including 215 types and a collection of 350 fruit samples. Since 1991, the Herbarium CEN has coordinated the publication of "Flora of the Federal District, Brazil"
