Abstract

The territorial limit of Vila Barra do Una is part of the Federal Environmental Protection Area Cananéia, Iguape and Peruíbe and the State Mosaic of Juréia-Itatins Conservation Units, having the current status of a Sustainable Development Reserve. This work identified, from 1958 to the present time, 10 types of federal and state legal norms created with the specific objective of affecting the area of ​​the Juréia-Itatins Conservation Unit, sometimes with developmental intentions, sometimes preservationist, generating instability in the traditional populations that live on site. It also sought to know the perception of traditional people on such matters, closely related to their dignities as human beings.
