Floristic composition of the Nossa Senhora De Nazaré neighborhood, Natal – RN: Subsidies for urban afforestation. Clécio Danilo Dias da Silva

Abstract

The objective of this work was to carry out a qualitative and quantitative survey of the afforestation used for landscaping in the Bairro Nossa Senhora de Nazaré, Natal -. RN, As well as, VERIFY the origin AND vegetative habit of these Species. Species identifications occurred through the Visual Analysis of Species PRESENT in LOCATIONS, Where Notes of Popular and/or Scientific Names were made. WHEN NECESSARY, Botanical materials were collected and laboratory identification was carried out with the help of appropriate literature. osmium data found were tabulated in a spreadsheet and processed in the Mata Nativa 3 software. The study identified a total of 478 plants, corresponding to 26 species and 25 genera distributed in 12 families. We verified that the neighborhood's flora is predominantly composed of arboreal plants of exotic origin. We recommend the development of measures to reduce the frequency and abundance of exotic species to better adapt vegetation to the climate, temperature and soil, so that it takes on a more regional character, and does not harm the fauna and flora of the neighborhood
