Abstract
Considering that understanding the functioning of nature is of fundamental importance for the conservation of natural resources, this work aimed to explore knowledge of Ecology and Environmental Education through a Didactic Sequence (DS) in science teaching. The research was carried out with three 6th year classes at a private school in Natal, RN. The dynamics of Delizoicov's Three Pedagogical Moments (2002, 2011) were used as an educational proposal, through: I) the use of problematizing questions (initial problematization); II) dialogic classes, application and discussion of the film “A Bug’s Life”, reading and discussions of scientific materials (organization of knowledge); and, III) construction of Conceptual Maps, Preparation and socialization of posters on the theme “ecological relations”; application of the dynamics “the food chain” (application of knowledge). At the end of the activities, we verified that the applied SD has significant potential to explore the contents of Ecology together with the foundations of Environmental Education in science teaching, contributing to the critical and reflective training of students in relation to the conservation of biodiversity and the environment. environment.
