Abstract

The present study presents a list of amphibians and reptiles observed on a rural property, in the Faxina region, municipality of Viamão – RS. The observations were carried out from 2004 to the summer of 2018. A total of 33 species were recorded for the investigated region, 18 taxa for Amphibia and 15 taxa for Reptilia. From the results, it appears that Amphibia is represented by five families, with Hylidae being the most representative, while the second class is made up of two families of lizards, two of chelonians, three families of snakes, one family of crocodilians and one family of amphisbaenids, with the most representative family being Colubridae.
