Abstract

Environmental Education aims to awaken a sense of concern for the environment, in the search for conservation, preservation of natural resources and maintenance of sustainability. In this context, the Santos Environment Secretariat develops projects with the aim of helping the local community acquire knowledge about the importance of environmental conservation. The “Environmental Station” was created with the aim of expanding the population’s environmental perception in the division of responsibilities. The project is developed in three areas: Waterfront, Free Markets and Neighborhoods. This study will present the results of the Orla aspect. Twenty interns were trained through a course to improve their knowledge. The project featured four tents located along the waterfront during the summer of 2018.
