Abstract
According to data presented by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) there is a continuous growth of the elderly population in Brazil. One of the factors that drive this progression is the increase in the life expectancy of the population due to the scientific evolution in the medical area and the expansion of basic sanitation standards. The World Health Organization (WHO) claims that by the year 2025 Brazil will be the sixth country with the largest number of elderlies. Faced with this new profile of the Brazilian society, the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP) invests in the project Open University of the Elderly (UNATI) whose main objective is the incorporation of a series of integrative activities that promote the reintegration of this group in society. Among the many integrative actions proposed by UNATI, the purpose of the inclusive activity is to increase the knowledge of its students through a set of actions carried out in non-formal spaces
