Jacaranda puberula Cham., Jacaranda micrantha Cham. and Jacaranda macrantha Cham. in the urban context of the Municipality of Porto Alegre, RS Vladimir Stolzenberg Torres

Abstract

Many cities, including Porto Alegre city, have employed a new way of designing urban afforestation, seeking a valuation of native species, to the detriment and substitution of exotic. Due to the lack of morphological knowledge of many similar species, taxonomical errors occur among them, which generates frustrations when the specimens evolve. Due to difficulties of this nature, in this study, we present features that allow an appropriate distinction between Jacaranda puberula Cham., Jacaranda micrantha Cham. e Jacaranda macrantha Cham. (Bignoniaceae).
