Abstract
The present study aimed to inventory the species of anurans in the urban environment of Porto Alegre, RS. The study was conducted over the 2017-2019 three-year period, with field incursions, in which the environments were sampled during the night, with the species being recorded by visual and auditory search, along with island portions of water and adjacent areas. Eight species were registered with the family Leptodactylidae Werner, 1896 presenting the highest expression. Federal legislation provides for such species, but it is clear that studies for environmental licensing do not seem to detect their presence when inside the urban perimeter. It is expected, with the present study, to have contributed to a paradigmatic resignification of urban environmental licensing projects, with greater attention and commitment to wildlife studies that are, or should be, carried out.
