Abstract
ndophytic and epiphytic microfungi are usually found in association with plants on the surface of leaf blades and inside the plant and may not cause damage to them. Bromeliads are plants that can be found in rocks (rupicola), tree branches (epiphytes), and terrestrial, their size varying greatly depending on the species. This research aimed to isolate and identify endophytic and epiphytic microfungi that live associated to bromeliads found in an Atlantic forest fragment located in Teixeira de Freitas-BA. Five incursions were made in January, March, May, August, and September 2019, randomly collecting upper (younger) and lower (older) leaves of two bromeliads species, Aechmea alba Mez and Vriesea procera Mez found in the Atlantic Forest fragment on a private farm (Sayonara Farm). Specimens of microfungi of the genera Acremonium, Colletotrichum, Curvularia, Fusarium, Nigrospora, Penicillium, and Pestalotiopsis were identified.
