Abstract
The Trindade and Martim Vaz archipelago is located 1,160 km from the continent, at the eastern end of the Vitória-Trindade underwater mountain range. In 1997, the Brazilian Navy maintained the definitive installation for occupation and in the territory of occupation and Martim. Currently, it is protected by two conservation units, therefore, good conservation management will only be effective in a partnership between the governance standards: Brazilian Navy, SECIRM and ICMBio. The objective of this work is to propose a volunteer program for the Trindade and Martim Vaz archipelago in order to create a communication link for the integrated management of ICMBio Trindade and Martim Vaz with the Brazilian Navy and SECIRM. The proposal for an ICMBio volunteer program is directly related to PROTRINDADE because it counts on the logistics of the expeditions, as well as vacancies at ECIT for volunteers to stay. The Integrated Volunteer Program for the management of the ICMBI island is expected, in addition to promoting compliance with Decree No. 93/18, assisting in the organization of conservation activities on the island, promoting the engagement of society in the conservation of biodiversity through action and public recognition of this contribution.
