Abstract
This article reviews the literature on the use of CAR-T cell therapy in animals, especially in dogs and cats, exploring the advances and challenges of this approach in veterinary medicine. The literature review was conducted using the terms "CAR-T Cell and Veterinary" in academic databases, with specific inclusion criteria for CAR-T therapies in dogs and cats. Seven articles were identified, highlighting the relative safety and efficacy of the therapy in dogs with lymphoma, as well as challenges related to cell production, costs, and management of side effects. Although promising, CAR-T cell therapy faces significant challenges in its implementation in veterinary medicine, including high costs and technical complexity. However, ongoing studies offer hope for developing revolutionary treatments for cancer in animals.
