The HUEG Herbarium as an instrument for Environmental Education and Scientific Dissemination Solange Xavier dos Santos, Mirley Luciene dos Santos, Lucas Leonardo da Silva

Abstract

In addition to activities to support research, maintenance and expansion of its collection, the HUEG herbarium, through different extension projects, has promoted direct interaction with the community, especially students and teachers of Basic Education in the municipality and Anápolis/GO and region. These actions are focused on the knowledge and preservation of the Flora and Mycobiota of the Cerrado, involving practical activities of environmental education, scientific education and popularization of science, in order to contribute to the human and scientific development of society.
