Abstract
Physical assessment is a competence of the Physical Education Professional. It aims, based on respect for interests and individuality, to guarantee security to the beneficiary and, consequently, to the recipient. Health in general is not stable all the time, and can undergo numerous changes and influence the prescription of the training program. However, it was established in the collective conscience that the issuance of a medical certificate would have the power to declare, in an absolute way, the aptitude for physical activity, as well as in the State of São Paulo Law No. answered self-assessment questionnaire.
