The objective of the study was to verify the perception of barriers and facilitators of the work of obstetric physiotherapists in maternity hospitals. A cross-sectional observational study was carried out, described in a qualitative and quantitative manner. 50 female physiotherapists participated and 82% work in private maternity hospitals. As for facilitators, it was reported that there are many physiotherapists working (86%) and that maternity wards offer necessary resources (62.3%). How many obstacles were reported regarding the lack of knowledge of the multidisciplinary team, difficulty in entering hospitals and limits of professional performance.
