Abstract
Amid the current scenario of insufficient and decreasing blood donations that are essential for acquiring blood, an irreplaceable resource for common medical procedures such as transfusions, this work aimed to create an application capable of contributing to an increase in this index. Thus, a system was developed based on Python (with the Flet framework for visual aspects), SQL for data storage or management and a biometric sensor to enforce the security of the stored information. Accordingly, this project presents a finalized application prototype initially designed for local use, which already offers functionalities such as data collection, easy search of patients filtered by their blood type, management of roles or permissions in the system, options for recovery and editing of registrations and biometric authentication. Finally, the work motivation is emphasized, as it seeks, with the functionalities already implemented and others planned for the future, to produce an application capable of increasing said donations, addressing the current shortage in blood banks.
