Abstract

Skin cancer is a common disease in predominantly tropical countries like Brazil, which receives high levels of ultraviolet radiation all year round. Therefore, the following article reports on the development of the prototype of a wearable device for the routine control of people who suffer from non-melanoma skin cancer and are in remission from the disease. This device will be used for the periodic examinations that these patients need to undergo in order to avoid tumor recurrence. The purpose of the device is to capture ultraviolet rays through a sensor and send these results to a system, where the doctor will have access and will be able to plan the patient's daily routine to prevent recurrences during the remission period.
