Abstract

The increase in flooding is attributed to accelerated urbanization, which seals the soil and makes it difficult for rainwater to drain. This study seeks to mitigate this damage, proposing the redesign of gutters with innovative materials. Although permeable concrete is widely studied in sustainable drainage, its low resistance limits its use in urban areas. To solve this, it is proposed to combine it with fiberglass, which is resistant to traction and corrosion. The research analyzes porous concrete tests that balance resistance and permeability, comparing them to the current drainage system. The aim is to improve efficiency and replenish the water table. The results demonstrate the viability of the project, being a tangible prospect.
