PREVALENCE OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY SYMPTOMS IN PEOPLE WITH STRESS URINARY INCONTINENCE
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the prevalence of depression and anxiety symptoms in people with stress urinary incontinence. This is a cross-sectional, quantitative study, carried out in electronic format with 23 participants. Three questionnaires were administered via Google Forms®: sample characterization, International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire – Short Form (for urinary incontinence) and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (for symptoms of depression and anxiety). Data analysis was performed in Microsoft Excel®, expressed as mean, standard deviation, absolute and relative frequency, and minimum and maximum median. The results indicate that anxiety is more associated with SUI than depression, having a moderate impact on quality of life.
