THE PHARMACIST IN FORENSIC SCIENCES

Abstract

The pharmaceutical professional as a forensic expert can apply his/her scientific knowledge to understand actions that can impact the lives of the parties, directly or indirectly. This article aims to analyze, through a literature review, publications related to the pharmaceutical professional in the area of ​​forensic expertise and to try to identify what are his/her main activities within this area. Therefore, the guiding question of our work is: how can the pharmaceutical professional act in forensic expertise? The methodology applied to carry out this work was based on a literature review, a descriptive study to meet the proposed objective. In this literature review, 11 articles were analyzed. During the reading and analysis of these articles, it was possible to notice that there was a unanimous perception that the pharmaceutical forensic expert plays a fundamental role in the elucidation of crimes, providing specialized scientific analyses.
