Main Article Content
Abstract
The study analyzes the diversity, sex ratio, biometric and distribution of rays caught by beach seine fishing in Santos Bay, São Paulo, between March and August 2024. A total of 91 night samples were collected at different locations, with six species and 40 individuals observed at location one, five species and 34 individuals at location two, one species and one individual at location three, and three species and 16 individuals at location four. The results indicate that locations one and two have high diversity and are potential breeding areas, while location three showed low abundance. Location four, with a predominance of juvenile rays, suggests a relevant role in the development of young individuals.
