PREVALENCE OF URINARY SYMPTOMS IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WITH CEREBRAL PALSY

Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the prevalence of urinary symptoms in children and adolescents with Cerebral Palsy (CP). The study involved the participation of 14 parents and/or guardians of children and adolescents between 1 and 17 years of age who are treated at the Pediatric Neurofunctional Physiotherapy Outpatient Clinic at Universidade Santa Cecília. Of the 14 participants in this research, 10 (71.4%) did not experience urine loss, and no participant receives physical therapy exclusively for urinary symptoms. Therefore, there was a low prevalence of urinary symptoms in the studied sample.
