Abstract

Academic monitoring is a pedagogical support activity that aims to improve learning and promote the exchange of knowledge. This study aimed to report the experience of a student monitor in the research disciplines of the Physiotherapy course at the Santa Cecília University (UNISANTA), between February and September 2024. The monitors served 63 students from the sixth, seventh and ninth semesters, proving to be an important pedagogical support for students, both in person and remotely. Although challenges such as scheduling conflicts and the search for assistance close to delivery deadlines impacted some results, monitoring proved to be a crucial tool for supporting students' learning and for the teaching experience experienced by the monitor.
