Main Article Content
Abstract
Bird survey studies are essential for monitoring local fauna diversity, assessing environmental impacts, and promoting conservation. Brazil, with its vast biodiversity, is home to numerous bird species, highlighting the importance of such research. This study aimed to conduct a rapid survey of coastal and Atlantic Forest birds at Parque Ézio Dall'Acqua – Portinho. A total of 31 species were identified, distributed across 15 families, with emphasis on the Guará (Eudocimus ruber), which had a relative abundance of 20.49, and the Andorinha-de-bando (Hirundo rustica), with 13.66, both migratory species. The results of the preliminary survey facilitated the identification of birds, contributing to the initial understanding of their diversity.
