Abstract

Glioblastoma is a malignant tumor that affects the central nervous system and develops in the spinal cord or brain. It is an aggressive tumor with a high mortality rate due to its rapid growth and acquisition of resistance to available therapies. Immunotherapy is a more recent therapeutic approach that uses the immune system itself to fight tumor cells. There are several clinical trials currently underway with promising results. The objective of the study is to provide information about the current immunotherapies on glioblastoma treatment and future projections. The methodology of the article was to review scientific studies in different databases, prioritizing the most recent ones that addressed the types of immunotherapies in glioblastoma.
