Abstract
This study analyzes the responsibilities and penalties associated with the Bill of Lading (BL) in international trade, addressing the legal complexity and financial implications of failures in the document’s issuance and management. The aim is to understand how common errors, such as lack of precise details and inconsistencies between documents, can lead to significant fines and legal disputes. The methodology includes data analysis on penalties and a review of relevant literature.
